In its early product definition phase, the Midnight sidechain was outlined as a privacy focused sidechain. The primary objective of Midnight was to facilitate the sharing of highly sensitive information without the risk of data leaks or censorship. The core components of the visual identity were already available and I was asked to expand on them to create a landing page, presentation and a few new interface pages.
Taking forward the monochromatic base and strongly minimalistic design, I mixed a few brutalist elements to create a monument for the project introduction and roadmap presentation. Responsive pages for the linked private wallet called Luna were also conceptualised for dark and light theme variations.
The definition of the interface components involved collaboration with external agencies and our internal cross-functional team to lay down the foundation of the visual system and the overall product experience.
