Kikos, a unique family business, started by offering shared yacht renting services on the Greek island of Santorini with just a few luxury yachts. Their concept was centred around transforming the yacht rental into a social experience. They were at the beginning of the journey with only the app name defined, and asked me to create a brand identity that appeals to their high-end market segment.
The work involved extended competitor analysis and audience preference analysis to understand their mental model of a premium but approachable service in that industry. To promote app downloads, the splash page design followed heuristic principles related to conversion.
The branding plan aimed to reflect a cutting-edge social experience that the tech-savvy audience expected, by using minimalism principles and high-contrast components. After a highly successful rapid testing for client's acceptance, the website's content architecture and interaction design were completed two development-ready stage and handed over to the client's development team.
