Introduction

This pilot study was a collaboration between the Cardano blockchain and New Balance to develop NB Realchain. The purpose of teaming up was to create an innovative authentication system to protect the authenticity of collector's edition shoes. The sidechain technology enabled the registration of ownership through a chip in the product, giving an extra layer the security and the potential of claiming and transferring ownership via the NB Realchain. I was asked to bridge the branding of the two corporation and create a landing page that represents both parties equally. As the designer leading the visual direction of the Cardano project earlier, I had complete understanding of the borders of the brand identity and the best use of the visual tokens to create a merged branding. 

Result

For the promotion of the project, a series of infographics and a splash page have been created featuring the colours and logo components of the blockchain brand, while merging the product features of the partner brand. This pilot project was a significant milestone in utilising blockchain for practical applications beyond cryptocurrency, and the collaboration with the brand representatives helped to create a recognisable visual merger.
